This Seiko Prospex dive watch was created in collaboration with PADI - the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, the world's most recognized diver training organization. It honors 60 years of Seiko's watchmaking heritage in diver's watches.

Continuing Seiko's legacy of watchmaking innovation and design evolution, this Prospex dive watch has evolved from the combination of two popular Seiko designs. The "Samurai" and "Shōgun", nicknamed by fans for their unique case shape, are popular Seiko models with an angular shape and instantly recognizable. This latest Compact dive watch takes elements from both traditional designs, as well as adding modernized features. Aesthetically, the green dial depicts the surface of the ocean seen by a diver underwater, with sunlight streaming through. It takes the sharp angular projections of the Shōgun and echoes the crown design of the Samurai model with the straight contours of both designs.

In terms of size, this piece has a compact 41.7mm diameter case and a slim design for a comfortable fit. New features include a date window at 4.5 o'clock, pointed hands and a bracelet with pressed single links for a sleek feel that matches the linearity of the case. This watch complies with the recognized ISO standards for professional dive watches. It is water resistant to 200 meters.
